Holland had built up a reputation as supplier of all types of twines to
both domestic and export markets.
While the Dutch pelagic fleet concentrates on braided nylon twines for
hand-knotted nets, similar ships overseas use a twine in a 3-strand
twisted construction.
Both types of twines are impregnated and stabilized, main
characteristics being:
- A coldwater shrinkage of
1%
- An excellent water
repellency
- No shrinking or swelling
of the twine
- A firm and fixed diameter
during use
Apart from above twines,
made of 100% nylon, we have developed a new type of twine called
"Cerfilest". This is a synthetic twine made of composite yarns. The
specific features of this twine are:
- No shrinking or swelling
- Very good water repellency
- Very good diameter
stability
- Very good resistance
against abrasion
To supplement our netting
